The CHROMÉCLAIR 15-Color Magnetic Powder Complete Collection is made for creative mixing. There is no single mandatory powder-to-gel ratio: begin with a small amount, mix thoroughly, test the reflection, and add more powder until the light effect looks right to you. A softer mix creates a delicate shimmer; a richer mix creates a stronger magnetic flash.

Three Ways to Create Your Look

1. Mix With Solid Color Gel

Choose any CHROMÉCLAIR solid color as the background. Add a small amount of magnetic powder, mix until even, apply a thin layer, shape the uncured layer with the magnet, and cure immediately. Different powder concentrations and base colors create different reflections.

2. Mix With Base Gel

First apply and cure a separate base coat on the natural nail. On a mixing palette, combine magnetic powder with Base Gel, apply the mixture in a thin layer, shape it with the magnet, and cure immediately. The mixed Base Gel does not replace the independent base layer underneath.

3. Mix With Top Gel

Mix magnetic powder with Top Gel, apply a thin layer over the prepared color, shape the reflection before curing, and cure immediately. For additional gloss and wear, apply another clear Top Gel layer and cure again.

How Much Powder Should I Use?

DIY is part of the experience. Start with a small amount and increase gradually. More powder produces a stronger reflection; less powder produces a softer, more transparent effect. Because every shade has a different pigment formula, the powder weights are not identical even though the jar volumes are similar.

Do not overload the gel. The mixture should remain smooth enough to apply in a thin, even layer. If a test layer wrinkles, stays soft, or does not cure evenly, remove it and remake the mixture with less powder and a thinner application.

Toepassing

1. Prepare the nail and apply a separate Base Gel layer. Cure it fully.
2. Place a small amount of Solid Color, Base, or Top Gel on the mixing palette.
3. Add a small amount of magnetic powder and mix thoroughly. Add more gradually if you want a stronger reflection.
4. Apply one thin, even layer without touching the surrounding skin.
5. Hold the magnet approximately 2–3 mm above the uncured surface until the desired light pattern appears.
6. Cure immediately according to the instructions for the gel used as the carrier. CHROMÉCLAIR gel product pages generally use a 60-second cycle with a compatible full-size LED/UV nail lamp.
7. Seal with Top Gel when required and cure again.

Important Use Notes

• Mix only the amount needed for the current manicure and use it immediately.
• Do not return mixed product to the original gel bottle or powder jar.
• Keep uncured gel away from skin and cuticles.
• Use thin layers and a compatible full-size UV/LED nail lamp.
• The rechargeable handheld lamp is best reserved for single-finger work, touch-ups, or temporary flash curing unless its label confirms compatibility with the carrier gel.
